  1. Saw early previews, art looks great. Story sounds like is gonna be amazing … as usual.

  2. Of course the movie itself will be the jumping off point for many readers.

  3. The Jonah Hex movie is going to be the best movie of all time! It has big guns and horses and explosions and stuff! It is going to make "Grand Illusion" look like "Pootie Tang"!

  4. So…does Hex get his super natural powers in this issue? I’ve been waiting for it since I’ve seen the trailer (totally sarcastic)

  5. I think people are bign overly harsh on the movie – at least wait until you;ve seen it!

Remember the Hex issue where Ben Frankln and Nikolai Tesla were having an electricity war and one of them built some weird robots?  That was still pretty sweet.

Just wait and see is all I’m saying!

  6. I love Jonah Hex and want nothing more than the film to be successful.

I was excited about the movie all up until I saw the trailer. My only concern before the trailer was the supernatural plot summary I heard about the movie.

Keep in mind they also did substantial reshoots.

The movie will more then likely be shitty.

Can’t wait for the special edition podcast on the movie!

  7. Week is so good!

  8. I have my doubts about the movie , but the comic is one of the best under rated gems being published today .

  9. @CaptainSweatpants: It sound like Michael Bay directed the Hex movie.

  10. I just read the interview with the director of the movie in the backmatter of this comic and if Gray and Palmiotti have faith in this movie (and they love this character more than I do), I’m going to give this movie the benefit of the doubt.

This issue was amazing by the way. Might be my pick of the week.

  11. My store sold out of this, but I could have sworn it was on my pull list. Oh well, save it for next week.

  12. The comic : awesome, as always.

The move : Wild Wild West 2, Electric Hexaloo

Any resemblance to the comic you love is purely coincidental.

  13. @drake

They had plenty of Rawhide Kid though. 🙂

I thought it was a okay issue, but the weakest since I jumped on (#50). Disappointed there was no Cooke interiors, and the actual comic stuff was only 18 pages. The interview included instead of those four pages seemed like a desperate way to get people watch the movie. I mean, if they’re going to spend four story pages on interviews when the readership is only like 12k, you got to wonder.
