  1. Nice.  This is a great new book, with beautiful artwork.  And it seems like the first isshue came out just a couple weeks ago.

  2. can’t wait. I hope we get plenty of the mundane stuff as well as the cosmic in this issue, because last issue, the mundane parts were for sure my favorite.

  3. What is this book like? The description of the first issue seemed kinda like Noble Causes to me. Is there something new to be had here?

  4. not Noble Causes at all but I can see the comparison – this is a great new take on the superhero book when the superhero is off duty… just building towards the core of the story here are the start but i believe this is going to be special

  5. If this book trashes on New Jersey more ill buy every issue.

  6. @aquaman It’s actually quite a well written book by a New Jersey/York-native. I met Glen at NYCC and talked to him. He encouraged us to e-mail him with places, pictures, quasi-famous names to include in the book to give it an authentic New Jersey feel. And to cure much of the damage Marvel has levied on NJ as being "bad." (See this week’s New Avenger’s: THe Reunion for it.)

Loved this issue. I got to see the unfinished pencils for it at NYCC, too, and having the complete product here made for interesting comparison. A lot of fun and a lot of heart. Pick of the Week this week.

  7. This was my pick of the week, but I wish there wasn’t that discussion about how long to wait before calling a girl. After Swingers, there’s no point in doing that.

McDaid is still absolutely killing on the art, but there’s this panel that kind of bothers me. It looks like the character is about to throw a punch in one panel, and the next appears to show the impact, but in that same panel it appears that the charachter has still yet to throw the punch. Maybe I’m miss reading it, but there was one very similar to it in the last issue, the part where Barock rams dude with the horns using the hoover thingey.

  8. Im from new jersey. i suppose i just enjoy the humor. I dont know anyone whos lives here and dosent see make fun of it a little.

Even in the first issue they made a reference to Cherry Hill which i live like 30 minues away from.Enjoyed that
