  1. This is double sized FYI. Should be a good finale.

  2. can’t wait.  This will be the first thing I read from this week for sure.

  3. what an amazing issue and a wonderful 12 issue series — i will miss this book but man did they go out with a bang

  4. My store didn’t pull me this issue or last issue even though it’s on my pull list.  That shows how much they care about this book.  RIP, it was pretty cool.

  5. I am so sad this book is over.  Talk about a labor of love from the creative team.

But look at the lame pull number on this book!  I feel so mad right now at my fellow comic readers, when I look at all the books that outsell this it makes me crazy.  Why do so many people buy such utter crap, while good original books like this languish.

Aargh!  A pox on thee, Ifanboy community!  I’m so sure that books like Avengers #1, Brightest Day #2, Superman/Batman #72 are so great.  Go read another Geoff Johns bore fest.  Or a Bendis unending "saga" with oh-so-snappy dialogue and whatever bigname characters shoe-horned in the same quinjet whether it makes any sense of not.

And not to leave the creators of this series completely blameless, the Mike Allred covers sucked and why Brunswick and McDaid didn’t put McDaid’s amazing inspired art on the cover instead of Allred’s cartoony simpleton’s is beyond me.  Look at Barock on the cover and then on the splash page, one is a stylized character from a bad Hanna-Barbera show while the other is the personification of Kirby-inspired might.

    Wow, that felt good.

  6. @Urthona

I probably picked this up because of the Allred covers..

    Allred rocks.

    But yeah, it’s frustrating.
