  1. Heh, neat solicitation.

  2. I’m not a fan of Jack’s son…yet.  Hopefully this will change my mind. (Should there be a comma after "Hopefully" in that sentence? Can I get a ruling on that?)

  3. Hm, this is a weird situation for me. I only started reading JACK OF FABLES during the GREAT FABLES CROSSOVER, but I enjoyed most of what I read there, so I thought I’d jump onto this book and see what all the hub-ub was about.

I read the last issue and thought it was pretty good, and I thought this one was decidedly average. Normally this just means I’ll give the book until the rest of the arc and then decide if I drop it or not, but this time I think I’m just going to drop it now.

This doesn’t really make any sense as I’m a huge fan of FABLES and all, and this book isn’t even really bad, I just can’t get into it. Just not my style, I guess. While the FABLES universe and most of the characters in it (including Jack) interest me, I just can’t seem to care about this book. Maybe I just don’t want any more immersion into the FABLES universe, which is the same reason I’m not into the prose book?

Sorry for totally blogging it up here, ha. Decent issue. Dropped.

  4. This book was a huge step up in quality with this issue.

  5. Love the fact that Jack is going away. I think that this really has an opportunity to grow into a book now that is readable by those that aren’t hardcore fables fans. It wasn’t brilliant but it was interesting and seemed like it might be part of a storyline that is actually comprehensible.
