  1. My first non-crossover issue of JoF! Yeaaaah.

  2. @kwisdumb – Have you read the first JoF trade?  It is one of the funnest trades I have ever had my hands on.  My wife was laughing out loud as she read it.

  3. …wtf?  niether willingham or sturges are writing this? shit…

  4. That was a fun little one-shot.

@mikeandzod21 – This is written very much in the style of early Jack of Fables. If I hadn’t known it was written by Roberson, I would have thought it was Willingham. It is spot on.

  5. Agreed. It was very enjoyable, and the ape and gorilla references were awesome. It just threw me because it wasn’t the fables’ two

  6. Pretty enjoyable, earning a solid 3/5 for me. I definitely don’t think this is the best approach to go on after coming off of the crossover, though.

  7. I remember trying Jack of Fables when it first started but didn’t really care for it. I was forced to read it for The Great Fables Crossover and thought it was decent. I thought this issue sounded interesting so I decided to get it. And I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was just the guest writer bringing a fresh feel to the comic or just because there was a bunch of apes in it, but I liked it. I think I will continue with Jack of Fables for now.
