  1. The first issue got me interested.  Did not noticed the $5 price tag, hopefully is a big issue.

  2. Lee Weeks!

  3. What PotatoPope said.

  4. Do I need to read the Alpha to read this?

  5. Since it was a light week I ended up picking this up, mainly becouse Gage was writing part of it.  I had forgotten there had been an alpha, so that did make it slightly confusing but I think I was able to patch together what was going on.

It is really 2 seperate stories, the gage one I liked a lot and would rate 5 stars.  The other, Rob Williams story was ok, but not great, I would probably give it 3 stars.  Part of the lower rating on the 2nd one is probably becouse I have no clue what era it was taking place in, so I couldn’t get any context (it must have been from some story arc I never read?)

  6. Laughed at how quickly he managed to get into and out of the old armour and helmet.  There was some artistic liscence used in this comic but it was good fun throughout

  7. Awesome all around. Captain britain was portrayed as if he was vinnie jones which was neat but not really how hes always been portrayed historically. I like the era in which they set the britain story as well. Having the vinnie jones cap also made for an exciting frame at the beginning and end. Looking forwArd to more lee weeks!

  8. @oscarsouth – I actually thought the panel showing Tony lifting the stiff chest section of the armor up and over his head on the rooftop was pretty cool.

I really enjoyed this, partly because of seeing one of my more favorite Avengers lineup, but also the Weeks+Palmer art with the old armor.  Agree that the 2nd story’s art wasn’t as compelling, but I thought it was fine.

Didn’t understand the Janet angst…is she dead in current continuity?  I loved when she was chairwoman, and like her character on the Disney Avengers cartoon too.  I didn’t remember Tony sleeping with her either.

Iron Age looks to be very loosely sewn together, particularly in terms of art and creative teams.  Nonetheless, I like the straight-forward nature of the plot and will keep on following it.

  9. I really liked this issue. And yes I should be hunting down the alpha.

@Urthona She died during Secret Invasion.

  10. POTW for me.
