  1. That’s a heavy price tag but the double size makes it worth it.

  2. I would agree if it was $5 but $6 bucks for 40 pages (I’m not counting the science dog back-up because I probably won’t read it) is too much, especially considering both DC and Marvel charge $5 for their larger issues.  For example, ASM is over 60 pages this week and it’s only 4.99.

  3. Woah big price tag. I wasn’t expecting that.

  4. Cant wait I love this book but Trade wait.

  5. Hell yes!  Science Dog!

    Who dies?  Father or Brother?

  6. Spoiler alert but I doubt it’s Nolan, if the cover of 79 is any clue there’s a Nolan & Debbie reunion coming up.  But then again, Thor never fought future Hulk in the Avengers last week as that cover depicted so who knows.

  7. I am REALLY looking forward to this

  8. what a terrible arc to have all these delays

everything has been leading up to this and the momentum is completely gone

  9. Momentum, Moshentum. This has been great.

  10. Finally!

  11. Hell yea over-sized main story, pretty much the only comic out there where I feel like I never want it to end while I’m reading it.  What book has been more consistently good than this one?

  12. The price and the wait on this don’t bother me at all.  This will be so worth it.

To those that have issues with long waits and/or losing momentum on this title or any comic in general, just go back a few issues or to the beginning of the arc and re-read the damn thing!  That’s what I always do anyway.

  13. i can’t figure this out. I mean, there’s more pages than usual. Shouldn’t the book have taken less time to make? That’s how it works, right?

     Great book, BTW

  14. Good job on being a smart ass on the internet.

  15. I agree with @mrmister, a book being late doesn’t usually bother me all that much but I think it’s really hurting the story in this case.  They’ve been building up to this for years and once it’s here they can only get a book out once every 2-3 months.  Because of that I don’t think the story is having the impact that it could if these were coming out on time.

This is going to read great in trade but I think it’s falling completely flat in single issues.

  16. SCIENCE DOG! Oh yeah, and that Invincible cat too.

How great is this book? Seriously.

  17. I’m all excite-y because that means we’re one down until a new Invincible trade. Seriously, best superhero comic I’m reading right now.

  18. Invincible is what brought me back into comics. My friend handed me the first hardcover and once I finished it, I went down to the bookstore the next morning and bought the other 3 hardcovers that were out. One year and a bookshelf full of trades later, this series is still the thing I get the most excited for every month. Totally stoked for this issue tomorrow!

  19. @mrmister/@Malecema – I’m only going to say this to emphasize the solidity and awesomeness of this book, but…

After you read this issue let us know if it still feels like the momentum is gone.  At least for me, I doubt it will.  The story telling on this title is so solid I could honestly wait months between issues and feel like I didn’t miss a beat!

  20. @jwaesch:  I hope you’re right.  I have no doubt that I’m going to love the issue, and it’s a slow week for me so I think I’m going to do as somebody suggested and I’m going to go back and read 71-74 right before I read this guy and soak in the awesome.

  21. Ummm just curious but I was under the impression that this was going to be day and date digital. Did they change their mind or something?

  22. I can’t believe they killed who they killed!!! Holy shit!!! And what a hardcore brutal fight. I kind of love that Kirkman can just blow the fucking shit out everything in the biggest most balls to the wall way while still maintaining a sense of traditional super hero comics. DC or Marvel could never take their characters this far, but Kirkman can.

  23. Well, I’m still not convinced that the character in question is actually dead.  We’ve seen people take beatings that bad, or worse, and pull through.

  24. Man, even if the fight scene in this issue hadn’t been severely epic, this book gets an automatic 5 stars just for Science Dog. Miniseries, please.

  25. I’m not sure a certain character is dead either.  Conquest had his head pancaked a while back and still recovered.  But I won’t be surprised if this issue was the end of a few characters.  There were many moments when I was scared to turn the page, and when I did turn the page it was worse than I expected.

  26. Terrific issue, Invincible continues to be glorious. Agreed that character blank is alive and well, that was nuthin’.

Always good to have Science Dog in the house too.

  27. This was only third issue of the series and it was my POTW.  I can only imagine how much more epic I would have found this issue had I read the previous 74.

  28. I had a good batch of comics this week. This was pretty awesome. This series is awesome. Next issue will be awesome.

Curious as to where this book will go when this is all wrapped up.

  29. Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off of the floor.  Holy mother of crap was this great.  I had the same feeling as @wayne2001bc, I definitely was hesitant to turn the page at a couple of different moments and I can’t remember a time when I was this upset when I got to an end of an issue.  I want 76 to come out tomorrow, I can’t wait another month!

Also, Ryan Ottley has once again proven he’s the best artist in comics.

  30. Probably one of the best single issues I’ve ever read.

  31. I said it back with All Star Supes, and I will say it again.  If you make something this good, I will not give a second thought to what others perceive as problematic delays.

My only complaint is with the size of the ‘back up’ and the associated costs that I had to pay out.  For a 75th issue, I did not want so much of another comic.  Not judging whether it is good or bad, but I just did not want it, and especially not here.

  32. If there was a way to double cap a word I would do it.  WOW.  I loved Siege #2 but this was that issue amped twenty times.  Beautiful, bloody, and epic.

  33. WOW

  34. Damn, I can’t wait to read this. Busy week last week. LCS on Wed. Can’t wait!

  35. Yeah, I just realized no day and date with this.. 🙁

  36. Never fails to satisfy and always craving for more by the end of each issue.
