  1. I am way behind on reading this title.

So, did it stay pretty cool?

Maybe I’ll catch up some day…

    • It’s still good, but I’ve definitely gotten a bit bored with the title. This always seems to happen after a landmark issue, while Kirkman starts building up subplots to pay off later. Lately, however, it kinda feels like the same plots he’s been using for the last 100 issues.

I dunno. Maybe I need to switch to trades…

    • It was definitely dragging up until last issue, at least for me. 103 was probably the best issue since the late 80’s or so. Also, Casey’s kind of right about it being the same plots from the last 100 issues. It feels like the series reset itself in a way.

    • I bet I’m farther behind than you! I’m only on issue 66 – I’ve bought it from issue 1. I have no idea why I feel so far behind on this (and Savage Dragon and Fables and Unwritten). I have some long runs to catch up on – which could be a pretty fun rainy day activity.

    • The second compendium comes out soon, it’s something like 48 issues for $65 retail (or MUCH cheaper online). I don’t know how far behind you are but it is a great value and leads to just before #100. I think everything pre-#100 was excellent.

  2. I don’t think it’s been dragging. A lot has been happening — though the action may have been toned down just a bit over plot development.

  3. ok im dropping the book. It’s been a good #104 issues but it’s getting pretty repetitive. I’m still buying it in trade though

  4. Ok, so Mark is sent to a desert dimension, he fights some evil Invincibles, something gross and bloody happens, a villain is convinced to stop being evil with words, and we get hints that maybe Mark is kind of a bad guy, maybe, some day.

*sigh* Much as it pains me, I think I need a break from this book. It’s really starting to feel like the same plots, over and over again.
