INCREDIBLE HULKS #616

From the day the HULK was born in nuclear fire, he’s always insisted he just wants to be left alone. But for the past three years, Bruce Banner has taken the opposite path, forging deep new bonds and building a super-powered family of Incredible Hulks. Now the abiding wisdom or terrible folly of that course of action will be revealed as the Green Goliath leads the Incredible Hulks in the final battle to stop his insane son HIRO-KALA from destroying two planets. 1. I might end up dropping this book soon. There are too many characters in it that are not getting any kind of treatment. Rick Jones, Korg, Betty, Jen, they just seem to be spending all the time standing around.

Its fine that the incredible hulk is focused on Bruce, that makes sense, but the massive, superfluous supporting cast is pointless.

It also doesnt help that i am not massively connecting with the story or art.

  2. I agree that it is nonsensical to have a large supporting cast and then basically ignore them. Pak needs to get through this Dark Son storyline (which I care about not at all at this point, and I bought all of the Son of Hulk stuff) and then we will see what he wants to do with the Hulk family. Personally I don’t think Hulk has the story to warrant $3.99 twice a month. The only thing that keeps me coming back is that I have 350 issues of that big green mutha and Pak brought us Planet Hulk, which was crazy awesome. Somehow more of that, please, Mr. Pak.
