    1. Right, now bearing in mind I think Jeff Parker is great but I’ve never read a Hulk [Rulk, whatever] book, is this worth grabbing? Is there a jumping on point easily accessible to new readers?

Hulk #50 was a good jumping on point.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to grab issues #50-#53 somewhere.

      • If you want to catch up in trade, I’d just start where Jeff Parker took over the title. That’s what I did (having never read a Hulk book either) and I’m loving this title now.

      • I jumped in on #53 knowing nothing. That was kinda a bad idea. It made very little sense to me. BUT that doesn’t mean everyone will have the same experience if they started on this arc.. I’m hoping I can get into it in #54 though.

      • Abjekt: I just read Hulk of Arabia and loved it. The writing was far more balanced and enlightened than I anticipated. Any comic with Machine Man’s got to be good. I enjoyed Hulk #54, but my store is stuck without copies of #53. The art I’ve seen on the series is equally excellent. This may quickly become one of my top three favorite Marvels. I say just grab a trade and plunge in. It’s not gamma ray science.

    2. The last issue was great…this one fell a little flat for me.

    3. I feel the same as koryrosh. It seemed to have so much potential with the whole Mayan thing (Great cover as well), but it’s not quite as good as you would perhaps hope it would be.

    4. Too many guest stars, and it looks like they’re only there to get kicked around. Great art, though.
