    So does it really matter that Hawkeye and Mockingbird was cancelled if McCann continues to tell his Hawkeye stories in these minis? They probably sell better being packaged this way anyways so it seems like a good situation for fans/publisher/creators alike

    @Jdudley – I think you’re right. Hawkeye is kinda like the Martian Manhunter, in that he’s a great character who works well on a team but can’t support an ongoing.

    So glad that McCann is getting a chance to run with ol’ Br’er Hawkeye. Love the super spy angle.

    If Jim McCann would write a West Coast Avengers title, not only would I buy 10 copies every week (even if it didn’t ship that week), I think it would bring about a Renaissance ofthe human spirit that would, ultimately, lead to world peace. Seriously, I am loving the $@&$ out of these Hawkeye stories – I hope they continue.

    Great starter issue. Some of the back story felt a little rushed to me, but man does McCann have Hawkeye’s voice down. All the Avengers, really. Great stuff.

    Does anyone know if Swierczynski is going to get to write more Widow? She was on the cover of this but nowhere inside.
