  1. Horribly unimpressed with Sterling Gates on this book. He was so brilliant on Supergirl, I’m teetering on dropping this, will decide with this issue.

  2. Yeah, I’m wating for a new creative team announcement, but more likely we’ll see a cancellation notice before that happens — sadly.

  3. I actually quite like this book, and thought the second issue was better than the first. Then again, the first Liefeld work I ever saw was the H&D mini way back in the day, so I have a soft spot for it.

But I think all the ill will Rob has created through out the years will always plague him – as well as his not getting better over the years, just lazier.

    • I agree that the second issue was much better. I just wonder how many people had already dropped off by that point. Not sure that the book needs a creative change, but if it does, it certainly isn’t just Liefeld to blame for it’s slow start.

  4. I dont think it’s been a slow start. I’m very intrigued as to where this is going. I am a child of the 90’s so I love Rob’s art and I’m not ashamed to say it.

  5. Fun issue, better than issue 1, not as good as issue 2 in my opinion.

    **Kind of a Spoiler**

Anybody else think that wasn’t Dove at the end?

  6. This is one of the funniest books on the shelves. I buy this book for the laughs and there are many to be had. I mean, just look at the cover. Everything about this book is unintentionally hilarious. At least this book is funny in its mediocrity, unlike Green Arrow, which is just sad.

  7. While this series is by no means great, I’ve found its gotten better each issue… First was downright terrible but its become a decent read. The art is still terrible but Im intrigued by enough hooks to keep reading.

  8. I thought this was the worst issue yet. I think I’m out. I don’t know what happened to Sterling Gates – he was so good on Supergirl but seems to be dumbing down his stories for Liefeld’s art.

  9. Well again I gave this book a 4 for sure; I like it very much. The villians are fresh and very hateable and the heroes have so many things going on around them there is no time to sit back the action is good. Hawk vs Condor is going to be a bloody mess. Dove and Deadman relationship is going to be a roller coaster ride and that bitch Swan she is an evil bitch straight out.
Rob Liefeld; I am sorry your art is just killing this book in popularity which I think it could easily be one of the best of the new 52. I can get past your are because I really have not read to many books that have had your work in it and the story keeps me intrested enough. The art just seems boring and have no feeling, the characters really just die there on the pages, and everyone almost looks the same. It just does not work for this book and I really think Rob needs to update his style if he wants to continue in the industry because it is just not very good.

    Just sayin’,

    K
