   I kinda wish this series would go to a stranger place than Reach, which has been the subject of a novel and a game already. Better subjects as well as places abound in Oni’s morally ambiguous missions in Karen Traviss’s Halo: Glasslands novel, the creation of the Halos in Greg Bear’s Forerunner Trilogy, and the first encounter with the Covenant aliens in Joseph Staten’s Contact Harvest. Reach is like Tatooine in Star Wars – over used and not so interesting except maybe that first time.
