   This volume reprints the Guardians appearances in Marvel Presents, but for all intent purposes, the book could have been titled Guardians of the Galaxy.

   Nikki, the flame-haired female sharpshooter from Mercury is introduced in this volume –as is Aleta — Starhawk’s mate. The Steve Gerber tales are critically-acclaimed.

    I was a young teen when this series was being published, and funds were tight — so I never collected these books. But they always intrigured me as I normally liked cosmic stories. After the series was cancelled, the Guardians took part in the Avengers Korvac Sage — an impressive Bronze Age arc that really needs to be re-released in trade again (two previous editions are long out of print).

   Looking forward to this one.
