  1. Is War of the Green Lanterns continuing between the three titles the way storylines mid-90s Superman books did?

  2. @Impossibilly – I’m betting that it’s more of a Sinestro Corp War kinda thing, where there are parallel stories going on, but they number them in sequence to trick us.

  3. @CaseyJustice If that turns out to be true, I’ll be a very happy camper.

  4. War of the Green Lanterns 1 and 2 in the same week It doesn’t get any better than that.

  5. This is the swan song of GLC for me. I loved me some corps for almost 60 issues, but Bedard and Kirkham are not enough to support a 3 issue GL habit. Hopefully it goes out with a bang. Bedard did a great job with his piece of Blackest Night on REBELS, so I am hopeful.

  6. I think Bedard is getting back in the swing of things after a little slump. I hope the art is better than the last arc though.

  7. @JimBilly4 – You’re right on the money about that REBELS crossover. That first BL issue was awesomely awesome.

  8. Looking forward to this quite a bit.

  9. YES!!  Two GLs in one day!

  10. So is this required reading for War of the Green Lanterns? I would assume so with the chapter 2 thing, but i thought i’d check

  11. This was a pretty bland second chapter compared to this week’s GL. I think Bedard gets Kyle and John well enough, but his Ganthet has always sounded a bit flat to me. Everyone in this issue seems to be acting out of character (and it’s not just the impurity talking).

Kirkham has delivered some really exciting visuals so far, but he seemed rushed in this one. Some of those close-ups were downright ugly. He works a lot better in the faraway group shots IMO. Also, I know it’s a nitpick but why the hell was Kyle still sporting the crab mask after they ditched their rings? Wierd.

So is Ganthet gonna have a construct hand like Aquaman now? Because I am so not cool with that.

  12. I really liked this. This worked way better for me than the tandem issues of GLC surring Sinestro Corp War. It really feels like we’re getting multiple angles on a big disaster, following the major characters as they react on the fly. None of the momentum between GL and this was lost, but the focus was seamlessly shifted to Kyle, John and Ganthet for some really fun character moments and some stake raising. I dropped this book a few issues ago, but if the rest of this crossover is gonna be this good then I’m happily buying back in.

  13. @CaseyJustice   I’m with you, I liked this a lot as well.  While I never dropped this title, the energy behind this title sure had a sharp spike with this issue.  I’m anxiously waiting the next issues.

  14. I really liked this second chapter. Lyssa just seemed too overpowered in Green Lantern without too much explanation. I didn’t think she was a threat until she had won. The problems in this issue felt real and threatening. Hell, Ganthet overloaded his ring so badly that his hand exploded! Awesome.

  15. John fighting Kyle was fun however; I am still on the fence if this is a summer blockbuster. It almost seems like right now the whole all kinds of rings are starting to get played out and they are milking it for as much as possible. I love Green Lantern books so do not get me wrong just being honest.
