  1. This is going to be so fun for some reason, I just can’t seem to explain why.

  2. yeah, i dropped the main GL title but have continued new guardians and GL corps, however i think im going to be picking this up while it ties into the whole third army thing.

  3. I think this could be make or break for me, I rather read GL in trade than regular issues get more impact than short bursts!

  4. I was going to drop this series before the zero issue but this new Green Lantern is actually pretty interesting. I don’t know why but this new guy being a Green Lantern is kind of cool.

  5. solid issue. the last page elevated the entire issue for me. can’t wait for next month.

  6. Does anyone else just want to read a Hal Jordan story? Its been 13 issues already.

  7. I dont know if it’s because of all the election fever, but Obama’s voice actually played in my head when he was talking to Amanda Waler haha! One intriguing thing revealed here is that Hal only has three more years of experience than Kyle; I liked that.

  8. Dropped after the agonizing left turn of issues #0 and #13. Very sad.

    • Agree. I kept this title on my pull list for Hal Jordan stories. Seems kind of quick to drop Hal and start a new Lantern. And all the political backtones are turning me off. I know that comics and politics pretty much go hand in hand and always have, but im reading this stuff to get away from the real world b.s. That being said, i am VERY interested in the next issue due to the last page of this.

  9. Daggum I miss Hal Jordan and Sinestro.

  10. These last two issues have drifted far from the raw escapism I’m looking for in a Green Lantern comic. This issue isn’t bad nor are new characters. They’re just not something I want to read about in this context. Particularly right at the start of the next big Green Lantern story, which seemed like it was going to be one of the better ones.

This is Rise of the Third Army part one but all we see are a couple pages of the boring looking zombie things. The most interesting aspects of the plot (The Guardians, Hal, Sinestro, Black Hand) have been completely pushed aside. I imagine they’ll come back into play but I’ve already been turned off.

I appreciate them trying something different but it’s bad timing and, again, not what I’m looking for.
