  1. This title looks promising. Hopefully it turns out better than Kingdom of Monsters

  2. Be looking forward to see what Godzilla419 says in his youtube review about this issue.
If you never seen his youtube vids, he has a fair few Godzilla comic reviews on youtube.

  3. Just looked at the preview and the art looks like Paul Grist meets Frank Quitely. Add that to Swierczy writing and this is added to the pull list.

  4. Really liked this first issue. The art reminds me of Eduardo Risso in certain parts. Looking forward to seeing where this is going!

  5. Meh, this fell flat for me and I went in with little to no expectations. I didn’t like the feline look to Godzilla when drawn straight on, the characters weren’t really developed enough for me to care at all or even care about the world. It all just seemed muddled and without impact aside from one small part.

  6. Good first issue–it jumps right in! Reminded me of when an movie begins with a 10-15 minute action piece. Just enough hints of the characters to have a first impression of them, while teasing about the depth and complications beneath the surface. Simon Gane’s Godzilla looks like the monster from the 1990s, the same style as from the 90s Dark Horse books. Nice detail work from Simon on that–love is inks–and Rhonda Patterson’s colors are suitably gloomy during the night time scene.

Very nice work overall as a first issue.

  7. Absolutely fucking terrible…shitty story, terribly gritty art, just a complete disappointment.

  8. The art blew something awful. Luckily I put way more stock into the story, I’ll pick up the next one just to see.
