  1. I’m really intrigued by this one. I’m hoping to hear some feedback on it before I pull the trigger. It sounds awesome though.

    • I agree this sounds very cool.

    • It is not good. Sadly too because I enjoy almost everything Anthony Bourdain does. Read the pretty clear consensus from the reviews on Amazon and they pretty much hit the nail on the head. I read an advanced copy a while back and it was a bummer. Pick up some Chew Omnivore editions and pass this one by. If you have read any of Bourdain’s fiction/crime work you will have a little idea of what to expect… and his work there is not the hottest. I give some credit for the attempt but I’m not sure what the goal or point was aside from Chew being popular and someone thinking this was a good me-too cash-in.

  2. This was really funny, I liked it a lot. Totally Bourdain, it was great. Also, some very nice artwork to look at-

reading it made me hungry too!

  3. @ Neb:
I was anxious for this to hit the shelves, and I wasn’t disappointed. For me, it was a lot of fun. For me, it was a great, different and very clever idea. Artwork was great as well! If it were up to me, I’d say, pull the trigger!

    • I agree – I don’t understand any negative review, this is great and totally everything I wanted out of an Anthony Bourdain comic book. It was hilarious, and Bourdain’s obvious passion for food and cuisine comes through. Art was wonderful too.

  4. By about page 10, I found myself casting the movie version.

  5. …but I kinda like California Rolls.
