  1. I was pleasantly surprised by issue 1. It’s not on my pull list, but if there’s a copy on the shelf, I’m in for now!

  2. I despised issue 1. Even Clay Mann, whose art I usually love, couldn’t redeem it.

  3. I loved it. Not the tights & angst of most X-Men – more unapologetic swagger and adventure with a bunch of nice surprises.

  4. This book has that fun breezy, action-packed feeling that the early issues of Duane Swierczynski’s Birds of Prey gave me. And it’s making me excited to see what Asmus does on his arc of Thief of Thieves. He seems to have a good handle on the “non-noir” crime genre.

  5. best ongoing gambit series ever

  6. I have always liked Gambit well enough, but Asmus and Mann are making me love him. With stunning visuals and with great writing that brings his sometimes annoying personality down a notch, issue #2 is extremely fun.

  7. This is actually really good. I have always loved Gambit but his books never seemed to stand out that much. This one is off to a good start.
