FABLES #114

The most harrowing epic since the series’ inception starts when Snow and Bigby’s cub Therese receives a Christmas gift from an unknown admirer. This red plastic boat may hold the key to a deep, disturbing secret that will incite a series of soul-crushing events for the denizens of Fabletown.

This 8-issue storyline will boast a backup feature that follows Bufkin’s (mis)adventures in Oz painted by fan-favorite Shawn McManus which will be a great entry point for new readers.

  1. I know a ton of people feel like Fables dipped after the Adversary thing around #75. However, I think this will kick it back up to that level. I love these kids and I think there’s bound to be a ton of good stories on the way!

  2. This title may have wavered a little, but it’s still a really strong book, love what’s happening with the kids right now, can’t wait to see what happens next!

  3. I’m probably in the minority of people who actually think Mr. Dark is really cool and definetly a worthy adversary (excuse the pun). I love the idea of the embodiment of the Boogey-Man being such a powerful villain in Fables.

I still really enjoy the series. This was a particularly strong issue as it makes me excited for what is to come.
