Love Fables but it seems a bit directionless since they defeated Mr. Dark and this issue doesn’t sound like its going to get the series back on track.
The new direction focuses on the cubs. Inherit the Wind was the first part of that.
I liked Inherit the Wind but it seemed drawn out. I’m not sure it need five issues to resolve it. I know Fables is a slow burn and I love that about the series, it just seems a little directionless recently.
My guess – and this is just a guess – is that one of the cubs becomes the new threat.
I think you’re spot on there. Be interesting to see how Bigby and the family deal with having to fight one of their own.
Also I am so ready for Rose Red to finally, FINALLY reenter the story as a character that matters. Love Rose and she has been absent for far too long. Also really enjoying the Bufkin story.
Adam Hughes?! I’m soooo in!!! Well, I was in anyway, but this just makes me happy. I love the one-off issues. I’d love to see another issue that’s basically responses to fan letters. Those are fun!
Yeah that was a great issue. I had forgotten all about that!
this list of guest artists is as good as it gets
Has adam hughes ever done interiors on an ongoing book? All i remember of him are covers
This was a great issue- short stories with great art. One of my favorite things about this series. I love the bigger story arcs as well but this makes it so much richer.
