ELECTRIC ANT #1 (OF 5)

FROM THE MIND OF LEGENDARY SCI-FI AUTHOR PHILIP K. DICK! Garson Poole had a pretty great life: good job, nice apartment, a sexy, flirtatious assistant. And then he wakes up in a hospital room…the doctors inform him that he’s been in a car accident…and they can’t treat him. Because he’s a robot. Specifically, Garson is an Electric Ant, a human-like robot created and programmed to serve a specific function. But what is Garson’s function? How will his friends and co-workers treat him, knowing that he’s a machine, and not a person? And how much of his world is real, and how much of it is part of his programming? Written by Kabuki scribe David Mack and illustrated by Pascal Alixe (ETERNALS ANNUAL).

  1. This is the book I’m most excited for this week. Phillip K Dick by way of David Mack? Yes, please. Hopefully this will satisfy me until I can get more Kabuki or Echo stories from Mack.

  2. If it’s as nicely put together as ESP’s <i>DADOES</i> it’ll be worth it.

  3. This sounds pretty cool,,gonna have to give it a try

  4. Phillip K. Dick!?…Marvel!?

Where did this come from!?!  I never even heard of this.  Im in!

I seriously just got back from my library with a Phillip K. Dick book in hand.  Cosmic coincidence or something more?

Anyone know specifically what PKD story or book this character comes from?

  5. @jwaesch-

The story is called ‘The Electric Ant’.

(Amazing what just a few clicks of research can do on the ol’ internet)’

I’ll stop asking stupid questions that can easily be found out anymore.

  6. hmm, dnt remember reading this one of his books or even coming across it. I have been enjoying do androids dream of electric sheep from BOOM studios though.

  7. Still waiting for Ubik to be published in Marvel. That would pwn.
