DV8 GODS AND MONSTERS #4 (OF 8)

Matthew Callahan (a.k.a. “Threshold”) has always considered himself team leader – the alpha dog, the perfect warrior, the awesome Super Hero in the (slightly fascist) uniform of leather and molded rubber. He’s always in control. Always barking out orders. But when he’s taken down by a primitive warrior armed with a simple wooden stick, he realizes he’s got a few things yet to learn. You don’t have to be either a god or a monster in this strange new world…you can be like Matthew and strive to be both.

  1. This has been slow but pretty cool.

  2. Yeah, I’ve been enjoying this. I wonder of there is any chance Wood would take this on as an ongoing. . .

  3. That would be pretty cool. I saw the Warren Ellis DV8 at my shop, I was wondering if I should buy it, does any one know how good it is?

  4. @JoeCom, it has been an excellent series so far.

  5. @grifter He meant the original series

  6. @JoeCom – I started Gods & Monsters before I picked up the original series #1 in a bargain bin.  It’s got the same characters, but I feel like G&M is more interesting not knowing the characters.

  7. Staples’s covers are awesome. I think this is the super-hero shit that excite me most, right now??? Cool story and great art.

  8. @JoeCom, ooops sorry.  As much as I normally like Warren Ellis, wasn’t too crazy about his Dv8 series.  Gods and Monsters is far superior in my opinion.
