DOOMWAR #2 (OF 6)

Doctor Doom’s latest power play has the Marvel Universe up in arms. Wakanda has been conquered and Storm faces execution in the next 48 hours — unless the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and the two Black Panthers can rally to the rescue! With Doom only minutes away from stealing enough Vibranium to help him conquer the world, T’Challa faces the most dreadful decision possible: let Doom win…or let Storm die!

  1. Deadpool was promised in issue 1 and there was no Deadpool.  Now – do I read this whole serious hoping for a scant appearance of Deadpool or do I give up now?

  2. @Grandturk:

Aren’t you satisfied with his 10 different ongoing series?

  3. I was surprised by how much I liked the first issue when I have no experience with the creative team and picked it up out of curiousity for the event.

  4. Curses. I got suckered by the $1 DCBS Doomwar special. And it was really, really good. Great art, amazing story. And lots of X-men written in character. I don’t give two bits about Wakanda and Doom is ridiculously overexposed right now (he is the villain in approximately 95% of all Marvel comics right now), but I am now hooked. Ah damn you Jonathan Maberry who I have never heard of before! Damn you all to hell! (Just watched Plant of the Apes again).

  5. @goat77: Never!

  6. I loved the first issue of this.  I’m primarily a Storm fan, but lost it with the new Black Panther story.  However, this is all looking great and I’m a fan of the 4 issue series.

  7. It’s 6 issues. And awesome. I’m a DP fan too but he isnt in 2

  8. this is absurd, they put deadpool on the cover, I frikkin’ buy it and he isn’t even mentioned in the series. Or in issue 2. Seriously Marvel? I feel like I was robbed, they’re using his cult following to sell things I don’t want to buy! I’m through with this series, I don’t care how good it is I’m sick of the false advertising and when he does come in, likely in the 5th issue, I doubt he’ll be in more than a handful of panels.
