DMZ #57

Once again, we see Amina, the famous casualty from Matty’s infiltration of the Trustwell cell back in DMZ Vol. 3. Since being rendered homeless and alone, she’s been the very picture of tragic survival in the DMZ. In this third installment of “Collective Punishment,” in the middle of the heavy bombing campaign, something quite unexpected enters her life.

  1. Have many people noticed the guest artist on this issue?  Cliff Chiang people!!! There’s some art previews on the Vertigo blog and he’s gone for a less clean line, grittier style and it looks great…

  2. Awesome.  Didn’t notice that.  I’m sure I will once I read it though.

  3. This issue was okay. It was nice to see Amina again but what about the giant cliffhanger from her last issue!?! A couple years ago in another arc of single issues Amina was featured and at the end she was approached by someone that saved her life and offered her a job. The reader was left to guess who he represented but it was implied he was either Free States, U.S. Military, or Trustwell. Now we get another Amina issue and that plot thread isn’t even mentioned! Major let down. This was okay as a stand alone issue but why the hell didn’t it answer where Amina has been and who she has been working for!
