DMZ #51

After the shattering events of issue #49, we start to pick up the pieces with “M.I.A.”, a four-part story taking Matty to a remote and desolate section of the city. With no phone, no computer and no contact at all with any of his friends, what exactly is he doing there, and why?

  1. I hope this storyarc’ll kick ass, cause this use to be my favorite series and i’d like it to grab me by my psyche again. I was so into it before Blood in the Game.

  2. Can’t wait to read this.

  3. I was kinda expecting stuff to happen this issue.  It is probably more of a set up issue though, given the change in Matty’s status.  As a individual issue, not great, but I am sure it will read better as the set up what I hope to be a very interesting arc.

  4. @rockingeek Well?  I really like it.

  5. @vada-There’s something off, I can’t put my finger on it, but it feels directionless, for me, since Blood in the game. Maybe its just me, but this issue was a good exemple of how I feel.

  6. It was definitely ’empty’ per se, but I think that was more landscape.  Maybe that ‘off’ feeling is exactly what Wood wants us to feel.  Speculation, obviously.

  7. eh. mediocre.
