This was pretty good. An interesting, tragic story set during the Industrial Revolution that ties in with the Old West. The art was decent but not remarkable. My main complaint about it is the fonts used. They were very small, and the background coloring of the word balloons and boxes didn’t help them stand out. Quite a bit of narrative exposition, which is kind of unavoidable, but it was done fairly well. At least it wasn’t spoken, “as you know” exposition! 3.5/5
Nice little backup story, part 1 of 4, featuring someone we all know, in a new light. This was good enough to raise the book to a 4/5.
Next issue is Palmiotti and Gray, so I’l be back for that.
