DC UNIVERSE PRESENTS #3
Ever since he died and became Deadman, Boston Brand has served the deity known as Rama Kushna, inhabiting bodies to complete missions that she dictates.
Now, for the first time, Deadman may have a clue how he can gain some control over his “life.” But the cost may be the souls of the bodies he inhabits!

This book has been awesome. That nightclub scene in last issue was fantastic. I can’t wait to read more.
I’m loving this story as well. Not sure I’m going to be on for the Challengers arc and I’ve seen Deadman all over so this is a great introduction to him. It’s a great “this is why having powers is hard” perspective on having a dating life. Like it’s not hard enough normally.
Yeah, I love this book so far. I have zero interest in the Challengers though. Maybe I’ll start picking up another of the 52 at that point.
Anybody know how many issues are left with Deadman in the lead role?
#5 is his last one.
Been loving the series. I’ve intended to drop it after the Deadman arc since before the relaunch, and I’m going to stick with that plan. Take that $2.99 and put it towards another new 52 after they’ve told some more stories and I can see which ones people like best. This has been nice because he’s hardly been in Dark at all. I liked the spirit worlds, reminded me of when Steve Vance was writing Deadman. (Check out Vance’s issues 5-7 for some other great Deadman stories.
I was really disappointed with this issue. #2 was awesome, but I expected more from this series. I’m going to stick it out for the balance of this run, but I’m not putting much hope into this story.
So far I think issue #2 has been the best. This one didn’t feel like it progressed the story as much. Still interested enough to see how it plays out though.
I’m a little unclear on Deadman’s powers though. Does the person he’s inhabiting remember any of their time while he’s in control? I felt bad for the soldier guy when Deadman posessed him just as things were going well with the girl in the bar. It made me wonder if he was gonna stay in control for the “fun parts” of the date.
Surprised to see the negative feedback on this book. I love Deadman’s sardonic humour. If anything I wish this was an ongoing.
Also, that cover is the balls (in a good way).
Great 3rd issue!
Paul Jenkins does it again. Very polished story and the art by Chang continues to dazzle. Deadman has a sharp and witty personality in these pages and I’m lovin’ it!
Can’t wait for the next issue!
Deadman is a very likeable character except his exposure is like a little too mch now; Hawk and Dove, Justice League Dark and here. Just saying hopefully we wrap this stroy arc up soon and present some other DC characters in this title. The story arc is good and the artwork is creepy with all of the ghosts and demons.
