  1. This combination of characters has me intrigued.

  2. I’ve always liked Blue Devil from the Shadowpact series. Looking forward to checking this out.

  3. Marc Andreyko is not a favorite of this fan, but this book looks pretty cool. Sounds fun, worth checking out.

  4. My love of Kate Spencer means I’ll pretty much always give Andreyko a shot. Though the last thing of his I read was a pretty ‘meh’ BoP story…

  5. I love the idea of these two together, if only for the reason that they haven’t been seen in the New DCU. Intrigued and perhaps tricked into thinking that this will be a very cool thing.

  6. Love me some Blue Devil since all the way back when he debuted in his original series in the 80’s. I’m really excited to check out his debut in the new 52….maybe it will lead to a new series for him!

  7. Looking forward to this! Love a good buddy picture.

  8. In case you wanted to read up on Blue Devil’s pre-New 52 origins, I did a DC Histories: Blue Devil article a few months back.

  9. This team up stars two of my favorite characters. Here’s to hoping Black Lightning and Blue Devil stick around for awhile and earn more exposure. Good of DC to give us two fan faves in one book.

    • I agree. I really enjoyed these characters in the past and look forward to seeing the new take on them. We’ll get at least 3 issue with them!

  10. Not as good as I’d hoped. Pretty average unfortunately. I ‘ll pick up the next just because I’m willing to give it second issue to get things rollling.

  11. I thought this was okay, but not as great as it should have been.

  12. It’s fun looking at old characters that don’t have exaggerated runs and a previous bevy of volumes. Good job DC. Good clean fun!
