I want Daken to go away.
Anyone know if this series is ending post Siege, hopefully as Daken won’t be a main player anymore? There’s a solicit up to issue 87.
I hate to admit it, but most of this has been pretty good.
Most of what? Dark Wolverine or the Seige tie-ins? The first Dark Wolverine arc was surprisingly good. The second was quite awful. Then a forgettable one shot. The first Seige issue was good again, Daken as the master manipulator that everyone (especially Osborn) underestimates to their folly. Then the next issue made everything a dream… over and over. Which was not so good. Getting 4 out of 9 would be great in baseball, but is not going to work for me much longer.
Is this really just part two? I could have sworn there has been three issues.
it is part 3
Ok, now please let Daken kill Romulus and take his place and move on. I would love to read a book about Daken learning to run Romulus’s Empire with Fates telling him what to do.
So in the beginning of this issue, is Daken coming out of the closet? — or was that move just a shock value stunt?
@Arrrggghhh No. He has claimed to be Bi for quite a while now.
After Daken takes over for Romulus I hope Marvel allows the character to fade into the background for a few years so that they can bring him back as a major "Avengers Level" force the consequences will feel like they have some weight.
This arc has been really enjoyable.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this issue. Didn’t care much for the last issue but this was really fun.
@AlanRob- actually, now that you mention it, the idea of Daken being a major Avengers villain is pretty cool.
Camuncoli was definitely the star here. that art was pretty amazing.
Liked the art, but hated the coloring. Have hated it in this title for some time. Brown is a tough tone to work with in a superhero comic and this is not it. Liked many of the individual Daken scenes, but the overall story is kind of a mess and having it all be a dream again… Done better than before, but having it be the third time really killed it for me.
