    1. I wish I liked this comic book. I want to give Marvel Comics my money. I’m practically in love with Daken in theory – but the stories Marvel has been surrounding him with (since his run in Dark Avengers, which I loved) have only bored me or left me thoroughly unentertained and dissatisfied. I think the crux of my problem is in Marvel’s decision to play Daken as an unrestrained villain versus a misunderstood antihero. He’s just a crazed, greedy thug trying to become the world’s most powerful gangster; I don’t find myself rooting for this guy. I rarely find anything redeemable in him. I can’t even cheer him on when he’s seducing hot guys – and in a genre that doesn’t give enough to its gay readership, that’s telling you something right there. Even my shlong is being overruled here. Please Marvel, if you are reading this, please re-tool Daken and make him even 5% more sympathetic so I can give you more of my money every month.

    2. I subscribed to this book because I was new to the whole comic book hobby and this was one of my first choices to read. I’m currently thinking that was a mistake. I’m reading all the Wolverine books: Wolverine, X-23, & Dark Wolverine and Wolverine is the only one that I’ve been satisfied with. So maybe I’ll drop this one and keep X-23 and Wolverine. On the plus side I’ll be able to afford Avenging Spider-Man next month.
