   Where my Conan people at?

   Wondering when Giorello was getting a break, and Joe Kubert steps in.  This ought to be awesome.  DH has done a fantastic job handling fill-in artists with their Conan series.  You will not get arcs split up among different artists on this book.

   My theory is- there’s a dedicated group of Conan/REH fans.. and then there’s comic fans in general.. the two groups don’t intersect so much.  I get the sense that people who read REH comic adaptations pretty much only read REH comics, while most regular comic readers don’t read Conan titles (and the two groups do intersect but not much- I’d be an example of that).

   Not that that’s bad, and I’m not making a case for Conan’s popularity over other things.  But this book is far too good for people out there not to give it a shot.

   I was really happy that they started the series over as it gave me a good chance to jump on.  I’ve really dug the series so far – always liked Truman’s stuff way back to Grimjack.

   I liked the art in this one, but the coloring was so washed out and boring I thought it was Vertigo title. Nice parallel story, nothing too special, but I really loved the final line.
