  1. I’ll be sad to see the art duties change for the last issue of this arc. I know Colak drew more of the standard Conan here, which some people bulked at, but I thought it really worked well for a war/siege story. And I like getting the REALLY diverse art styles we’ve been treated to on this book. Makes it feel very art-house, almost a gallery of unique artists as much as it’s a cohesive & compelling storyline.

We got some insight into Belit’s actions/motive/emotions in this issue, which I was really missing, & got a nice empathetic moment with Conan too. This has been my favorite issue since “The Death” storyline began.

    5/5

    • I agree about Colak, I’ve enjoyed his more “Traditional” Conan, and it would’ve been nice for the arc to have one artist. This run has been my first exposure to Conan, aside from the movies, and now I plan to go back and read the older trades after Wood finishes up his run. This is just good comics, plain and simple.
