  1. Damn that’s a great cover. These last two arcs have been a bit too sullen for my tastes, hopefully there’s a little more energy here.

  2. Boy I have not been paying enough attention while I read because I thought Belit died in the last issue

    • I guess that’s a good excuse to go back and re-read.

I’m excited for this, Wood’s Conan has been a great read, and the rotation of artists has worked well so far.

  3. Glad “The Death” is over. Really never got into that story line. The solict for this gets me really excited. The beginning of the end for Conan and Belit???

  4. I’ve loved EVERY ISSUE by Brian Wood.

  5. They are dragging out Belit. She needs to go away soon.

    • Wood’s talked about the series’ premise being “Conan & Belit” – I don’t think she’s going anywhere for the duration of the 25 issue run.

  6. I only made it about 5 pages in on my lunch break, but man, that artwork is amazing. So different than everything done on the series to date, but looks like it will fit a war/siege story really nicely.

Dave Stewart always impresses, but I was blown away by his shift in style here. It’s awesome to see him breaking his safety zone (if he has one), even with so many years & titles to his name (& on his plate). 5/5 so far!

  7. My least favorite issue so far thanks to the very noticeable change in art style. This new guy is a decent artist, but he’s NOT in the same vein as his precursors and does not stick to the Emo-Conan template set in the beginning. All of a sudden Conan looks like every *other* Conan you seen in comics: burly and kind of Bronson-Schwarzenegger homely, really just the John Buscema template set back in the 1970’s. If this is a permanent shift in representing the character back to his staus quo image, I’ll be very disappointed.

  8. Good issue – this whole series has been at least a 4 every month for me.
