  1. Has anyone else found this series a little confusing? Great art though.

  2. @USPUNX  Completely confusing! I have no idea what is going on and don’t anticipate figuring it out with this issue. If there are future mini-series, I probably won’t be getting them.

  3. Only confusing in that it was unexpected. But roughly A kaiser was murdered by his daughters who were supposed to be protecting him. This is the first time it happens in the long reign of the Kaiser and the political ramifications are significant.

That’s about it. But it folds in a lot of things connected to it so it feels very heavy and epic.

    Looking forward to this issue!

  4. I got all the big ideas but the details are unclear to me. First, I thought they weren’t his daughters but the daughters of a different family that has always protected the kaiser. Second, keeping the girls seperate is difficult. Third, issue three is upcoming and so far none of the action of the story has been given much context or motivation. I guess that covers most of what is confusing about this. Also which countries are fighting, why they are fighting, who the guy on the battle field is, is this an extension of WWII, and if so why we never evolved beyond steampunk technology, where the prophecy about the third (or was it fourth) sister came from, etc…

  5. I think the tech is beyond steampunk. I’d call it dieselpunk at least.

  6. Maybe E85 safe gaspunk?

  7. I’m with JNewcomb,  def looking forward to this issue

  8. Even if I don’t get everything after a couple of reads, the art is a spectacle in itself. I like it for the script but I love it for the visuals!

  9. I liked this.

This and S.H.I.E.L.D. are similar to me.

Hoang seems very dedicated to the book!
