  1. Got the first one on a whim (And because I love American Dream!) and have enjoyed the series. May not be the greatest book out, but it’s fun seeing a bunch of Cap’s running around. Oh! John Walker is still a jerk.

  2. The number of pulls for this series is stunningly low?! I’m amazed. First off, Briones kicks ass on art. Second, Stern is really weaving a pretty cool tale, and it’s not just the 5 Caps, but also plenty of guest stars like Spider-man, Nick Fury, Luke Cage, Electro, Misty Knight, Punisher.

My favorite trick of this series is the constant replay of the first time the Caps met. For those not reading, they first meet in a multi-dimensional room a la M. C. Escher, where everyone enters the room from doors at impossible angles. Each issue has a shot of what it looked like from each different Cap’s viewpoint…this issue was particularly fun because this Cap entered the room at a particularly upside down angle — mind blowing!

If you’re a Captain America fan, you should check this out in trade if you’re not picking it up.
