  1. God bless Francesco Francavilla’s hands that draw such wonderful things.

  2. So glad that this is where Francavilla landed when BP: MDMA ended. A really great fit. Looking forward to more.

  3. I have been loving Francesco’s art, but I really thought last issue was just okay. It seemed like it was setting things up too much. Hopefully this issue concludes what last issue set up.

    • Yeah, I need to re-read the previous issue, because it left me a little cold too. I’ll keep reading this arc, but I’m not sure if I’m going to stick around for Cap and Hawkeye just yet. Especially with Winter Soldier starting in a couple weeks!

Does anyone know what Francavilla has coming up after this arc?

    • I thought last issue was fine with the view that it was a set-up for the rest of the arc. This arc ends with issue #628. That’s 4 issues total.

Cullen Bunn takes over the writing when the title changes to “& Hawkeye” and the art will be by Alessandro Vitti who definitely is not ‘like’ Samnee or Francavilla. His stuff looks a lot more in line with the Marvel house style. I like Cullen Bunn a lot, but I don’t care about a Cap-centric Brave & Bold or Marvel Team Up series. Glad he’s got the work though. And The Sixth Gun will stay on my pull list; it’s awesome. I’m out when Francavilla leaves and Hawkeye shows up. That money will go to Winter Soldier.

Francavilla’s own character The Black Beetle will be appearing in the anthology Dark Horse Presents. It’s a 24 page story spread over three issues of the magazine.

    • Bunn & Vitti sounds cool on this sort of a title. I’ll stick with this for a bit.

    • @tripleneck I completely agree with your sentiments. I wish Francavilla could continue working with Brubaker but I’m really excited about The Black Beetle over in DH Presents. Dude does some amazing covers for other books but I’d really like to see Francavilla work his own pulp-centric series where he can stay on for a long haul and really weave a long tale, preferably over at Image.

  4. I hope this arc and Samnee’s arc is collected in a single HC or in the inevitable 4th Cap Omnibus. If not I’ll be very disappointed.
