  1. I’m actually considering dropping this after this arc, it’s not really doing it for me.

  2. the young Steve Rogers stuff is kinda dragging these issues down, IMO. But I love the wacky sci-fi stuff!

  3. I think it’s fun, but also feels inconsequential? I know that sounds a bit silly, but I guess I feel like I wouldn’t really be missing anything if I wasn’t reading it, and the art is the same as KickAss.

But I am enjoying the ride well enough. It’s just one of those books that I read and then toss, instead of putting in a precious plastic bag on a shelf or as a trade for future enjoyment…and truth is I don’t have a lot of books like that.

And DrBrOOklyn is right, I feel like instead of exploring an aspect of the story, each issue changes up the game, making it seem even more shallow.

But…but…ok, I’ll shut up. No you shut up. No YOU shut up.

  4. Not thinking I’ll stick around much past the first dozen issues.

Might read the library trades later.

  5. Haven’t read the issue yet but after last months I’m ready to get out of Dimension Z. I’ve felt a little let down. Remender killed it on Venom and Uncanny X-Force but this and Uncanny Avengers have just been ok. To be fair I haven’t liked the art on either book.

Unlike the guys above I’ve loved his flashbacks. Kid Steve is easily the best part of each book.

  6. So, unpopular opinion alert I guess, this was my Pick of the Week. It was a very close pick, I had like 8 amazing books this week and this was probably my favorite. I have always been a big JRJR fan, and this is some of my favorite art he has ever done in this issue (which is good, because his art has been spotty at times in this series so far). Some of the panels were just utter Kirby. The story was great too. I love the father/son dynamic.

    • I agree with almost everything you wrote. This was my pick of the week before I read Saga today. Part of me knows that Remender is aping Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns but I don’t care I love it. Best issue so far.

  7. Another fun psychedelic romp with heart. Go Cap go!

  8. I really dig this different side of Cap. All in all, good issue!

  9. One of the surprises for me in Marvel Now, though I DO agree with an earlier poster, that this title feels somehow inconsequential.

I am glad I am following this title, but would feel no huge loss if I dropped it for something better. This is also how I feel about Indestructible Hulk at this moment.
