Is this Brubakers final Arc?
Probably, his last issue on cap is #19 but im not sure how this arc is going to be structured for these last few issues.
Last issue was my last until at least the relaunch. This series hasn’t been very interesting.
Yeah its been slow and Brubaker even mentioned he’d lost a passion for this title. I still want to read his last arc on Cap though. 15 issues ago I would have been sad to hear he is moving on, now I’m slightly relieved. I hope he ends on a high note after the years of great books he gave us.
Absolutely, it is time to pass the torch.
Hopefully not to Bunn. His Wolverine stuff wasn’t that good.
It seems that he is concentrating more of his effort on Winter Soldier. I haven’t read it yet, but it’s supposed to be better than his recent Cap stuff
Its been really good. It started off ok but has gotten better as of late.
This series has started to coast, but seeing as how Brubaker has been on it for around 7 years… it’s time to move on.
Brubaker’s best days are behind him. It seems to me that he has got into a comfortable rut and is just going through the motions. I don’t know if he’s under an exclusive contract with Marvel but I wouldn’t mind seeing him do some more DC work. I enjoyed the hell out of his Batman books in early 2000s. I think a change of scenery might be good for him.
