BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: SEASON 9 #3

Spike has heard rumblings. Someone, or something, is coming for Buffy–and now, after she recklessly slipped out of police custody, the SFPD is certainly looking. When Buffy’s family and friends deny her refuge from the cops, she turns to the streets and slaying, where she discovers there’s a new kind of vampire slayer in town . . .

• Buffy stakes her way into a new kind of trouble!

  1. Hmm… I think I’m getting all the Whedonverse I need over in Angel & Faith. Last issue really kinda clunked for me after the stellar premier.

    • I’m thinking I might switch to trades on this one too. Which is honestly something I’d never thought I’d do I’m a huge Buffy fan and this is better than season 8 so far but Angel and Faith is just so good and I feel this will read better in trades anyway,
I’ll give it till the end of the first arc.

  2. Best issue yet; probably one of my favorite issues of a Buffy comic ever. Very solid.

    • Awesome, I’m forcing myself to wait until the weekend before reading this (as a reward for getting work done) really looking forward to it now.

  3. Buffy’s new status as ‘ostracized’ is what’s mostly keeping this fresh and intriguing, for me anyhoo. Always did like ‘Wishverse’ Buffy!

  4. Good issue storywise but I want to love this, but blargh I don’t like the art.
