  1. This comic is a textbook example of why the pre-order market sucks.

  2. You just didn’t like it that much or didn’t get a copy of #1 when it came out?  I enjoyed the book, I thought the art was great, though I thought Constantine’s accent was a little over the top.

  3. yeah the first issue was very bland and disappointing….it had all the parts, but it needed a bit more seasoning or something.

  4. I’ve heard nothing but negative reviews of number one, but I really liked it. There were some really cheesy parts, but I thought it was a fun issue. I’m excited for this.

  5. This seems to be a love it or hate it book for some reason.  I was surprised I liked the first issue as much as I did.

  6. I liked the first issue too. I’ve never read a lot of Hellblazer, although I should, so maybe this is way off base and out of character. But it entertained me and I liked the art, so I’ll be checking out #2.

  7. It was ok but I’m glad there’s only three issues. I’m kinda done with that story line

  8. Avatar photo Jeff Reid (@JeffRReid) says:

So, according to this cover, Superman’s gained the power of Flashlight Eyes? Interesting.

  9. So I guess I need to reread issue one, but this was rubbish. If issue one was like this, I must have been on a Wednesday comic stack high. Why the hell is Constantine talking like he’s Irish? And Guv??? What the hell?!?

  10. Whereas Knight and Squire was a brilliant portrayal of UK English, the dialogue in this is some sort of terrible pastiche. We have our fair share of dialects here but nobody speaks anything like that. ‘Strewth’? Jesus.

  11. @JeffR  –he’s been possessed by the power of VIGO! the scourge of Carpathia and all that…

  12. Brightest Day?? I read book one and it was alright and then I read this one and it was alright. I just don’t care enough anymore because of the reboot and Flashpoint. So this whole story will be just a story and thats all it will ever be. It will be long forgotten very shortly here after the reboot.

    Just sayin’
    K

  13. Bland. A chore to slog through. This feels less like an epilogue to Brightest Day and more like a hangnail to be ripped off the fat middle finger that is Flashpoint.
