    Jeez, I’m surprised more people aren’t reading this. I haven’t read my copy yet, but I can’t wait. The covers by Dave Johnson are ridiculously awesome.

    I just finished reading issue #1 and I ‘m really looking forward to picking up issue #2. This is my first introduction to anything related to Hellboy and the BPRD in comic book form. The quick setup inside the cover brought me up to speed so that was super helpful.
    I like what I’ve seen so far! Really like the art – it fits the mood perfectly!
    Have you read the Abe Sapien mini that is currently out? Worth picking up?

      Yes I have, and you should definitely pick it up if you liked this. It is a standalone story, so it is completely accessable to new readers, as are most of the HB/BPRD books. The whole Mignolaverse is really good, you can’t go wrong with any of the series’. Wonderful art, and creepy/awesome stories.

    I’ve dabbled in Hellboy through trades over the years but this past year i’ve been buying all of the Mignola books on a monthly basis. They are quite often better than anything else.
