  1. Still fun but not what it was.

  2. @Minion: with this books sales slipping, do you think they will bring back Jurgens now that Time Masters is done?

  3. @ctrosejr Hopefully. I really liked  his stuff when he was on the main title. Time Masters was rough though.

  4. @Minion  I wholeheartedly agree that Time Masters has been bumpy, but I have enjoyed it overall.  It could be that I have really liked the relationship moments (mostly the flashbacks) between Rip and Booster and can overlook the book’s other faults.

The problem with the Booster Gold book right now is that I think Booster is not the same character he was when Giffen and DeMatteis originally wrote him.  Too much has happened to him, and the character has evolved.  But, Giffen and DeMatteis seem to be treading the same old ground.  If it’s not the attempt at “Bwa ha ha” humor, it’s the morning of the loss of Blue Beetle.  My hope is that if Jurgens comes back, we’ll see Booster move forward again.

  5. Jurgens comes back, I come back.

  6. I agree with ctrosejr about the difference with how Giffen & DeMatteis write the character because, at first, it seems like they hadn’t read anything that had happend to the character since 52.  And since the first few issues, it seems the character goes between the two and I never know what character I’ll get this issue but overall it’s been fine for me lately.
However, I do love the commetaries concerning the credits and the one for the letterer this month was hilarious.

  7. This was a high two or a low three. Not a very good book at all.
