  1. make or break issue for me

  2. Full-on looking forward to this issue.

  3. I desperately wanted to like #1, but after reading it three times, I realized I kind of hated it.
    I’ll flip through this one and either buy the first 4-6 issues or stop with #1.

  4. I like the idea of this book maybe more than I liked the actual book. At least for issue 1. I like characters, it has to be about the people for me, not just the action. So hopefully this book fits the bill.

  5. Uck. Dropped. Costa can do so much better.

  6. This was alright. I gave it 4 stars which it is if you look at it as a stand alone issue. I think this issue sufferes from a weak first issue.
    Quick thoughts;

    Why have a Lady Blackhawk on the team Blackhawks? We don’t have “the Avenger” on the Avengers thank god. Or an actual G.I. Joe on GI Joe.

    If you are clandestine why have your logo on the vehicle? why have a logo?
    To his credit, Costa focused on the characters face being caught on tape in issue #2.

    My prediction is that ” if ” this book survives 10 issues, that Costa will find a grove and really explore this niche of the DCNU much to the delight of fans like me who like the idea of GI Joe like action mixed with super heroes.
