  1. I’m going to jump on this.  I didn’t like the look of the tone or art for the first arc.  Hopefully Duane S. brings the thunder on this one!

  2. Hmmm, i’m definitely tempted. Not a fan of Acuna, maybe I’d like this better.

    Hey, why not eh?

  3. Jumping on here. I think Duane is the perfect guy (aside from maybe Rucka) to do this book.

  4. Wasn’t a fan of Marjorie Liu’s writing, so might jump on here; hope to see more of Travel Foreman’s stuff in the near future, his work on the Countdown Presents: The Search for Ray Palmer: Red Son one-shot was amazing.

  5. I’m jumping off. Majorie Liu and Acuna had a good thing going, shame it had to end so soon. I’m sure Swierczynski will do a good job, seems right up his alley … but changing a creative team 5 issues into a series is too good an excuse for me to drop something from a pull list that’s in need of some serious trimming.

  6. Where’s the 3-D glasses for that cover?

  7. I’ll see it throught to end, which is apparently November’s book. Though there is a Widowmaker mini-series solicited for December.

Acuna’s art was great on the first arc, but the story was a bit too dense and dreary. Hoping the cover means this arc will have more action and adventure.

  8. @kcekada I think the Widowmaker thing is a crossover with Hawkeye and Mockingbird and that this will continue as an ongoing up to and after that point.
And I have to say I really enjoyed this. It had that same flavor as a lot of Marvel books circa 2001, like Tischman’s ‘Cable’ or Tieri’s ‘Wolverine’ and even though I have a feeling this book will eventually be canceled due to low sales, I look foreward to the ride with Duane behind the wheel.

  9. Shipment was damaged at my store… 🙁

  10. Really, really fun book.  Just hopped on this month.

  11. Liked it, although some of the surprises weren’t very surprising.  Great cliffhanger.
