BLACK KISS II #2

In the second of six explorations of the dark side, filth piles on filth as the 20th Century revs into high gear – and the stroboscoping world of the movies conceals and reveals the degeneracy and debauchery hiding behind the winning smiles of matinee idols and America’s sweethearts.

    1. Totally banned in the UK!

      • seriously? I mean… it’s certainly explicit and odd but 100% censored in the country that has the page 3 girls?

      • Not banned. Just not being distributed by a major distribution company. Banned sounds cooler though.

      • Now, Page 3 girls are pretty much the least offensive thing ever. Topless chicks. This has well flying dick tentacles or whatever, ha, that said I’m all for no cenorship. Just sayin’, apples and oranges (or melons).

      • Also banned in Canada as of issue 2 onward. I immediately went and bought it digitally, I didn’t read the first one, wasn’t going to buy this one either but I’ll be damned if they try to tell me what I can and cannot buy.

      • I flipped through it and WOW… Still, how can anyone ban the book regardless of how many male chickens and/or casaba melons are in it?

    2. What is this actually about?

      • Smut.

      • It’s part supernatural mystery/thriller, part Howard Chaykin commentary on modern pop culture, and 100% cover-to-cover illustrated porn. It features tons of non traditional sex acts, with a heavy dose of rape (by demons, more or less) and an under-current of homoeroticism. And based on the preview text for #2 above, it appears that there may not be a continuous plot running through the ministries. Issue one had two different, basically unrelated, stories. So I concur with Firevine: “Smut.” Limited distribution may not be a bad thing in this case, Ron’s fascination with the series notwithstanding.

      • smut never looked so good

      • I don’t know about that. I thought Omaha the Cat Dancer was better looking (and better written) smut.. There are some noticeable flaws in Chaykin’s rendering of human anatomy. But overall it looks interesting enough. And I think it’ a far cry from the visual appeal of the first five or six issues of American Flagg! as well. For anyone curious about Howard Chaykin’s work I would much more highly recommend that work over this!

    3. All i know is i’ve never been so offended, wierded out, shocked, pissed off, intreagued and left shaking my head after reading issue 1. Its like a car wreck, i know i shouldnt look but can’t help myself.

    4. My retailer and I have had a running bet on how many dicks will appear in each issue. With an Over/Under of 15 dongs. Using the Price is Right style rules, if there is under 14, I win, if there is over 15, he wins.

      SPOILER

      ….

I’ve lost two months in a row now.

      • HAHA you counting dicks

      • I like Howard Chaykin, but this was just too much dong for me.

The first issue was crazy and didn’t make a lot of sense, as I have not read the first series. But it seemed to be too much shock for shock’s sake, and not enough substance. So I passed on this issue.

        Just too much dong.

    5. Knowing that one of Chaykin’s goals for this title is to deliver basic shock for the sole sake of being shocking, I appreciate that he’s chosen a collaborator named Jesus (Jesus Aburtov). I just like seeing that name in the credits of a smut book fixated on anal rape. This is truly the car crash of monthly comics right now!

    6. Not available in Canada anymore 🙁 banned if you will lol

kinda sucks but honeslty this was pretty sick anyways.

      • I’ve also personally never heard of a comic book being banned before. this is hillarious. Thank god for midtown comics.
Well i now feel the need to listen to some 2 live crue. snooch.
