I have been loving the art in this, but the story is just a bit too thin. This issue will be make or break for me.
I feel the character interactions more than make up for the story, but hopefully the plotting tightens up once a clear direction is set for the team.
I agree with Cameron that the story is a bit light, but I also agree with Blargo that the character interaction makes up for it, as does the incredible pacing and execution of the action.
So yes, it’s breeezy, but a little wind in the hair (or on the scalp, in my case) can be pretty refreshing!
Coolest Bat book you didnt know you needed but are more than happy you have! I love this book lots…it kinda feels like you are watching a really good action flick…like that rare kind that you dont feel dumber for watching it…
Gotta agree- this feels like a DC team-version of Daredevil, in a way.
that cover is god-awful, what bizarre anatomy…
Yeah, I get that there are people that like David Finch, but I’ve never been one of them. Especially when Jesus Saiz is doing such a better job on the inside!
Agreed. It will be nice once Saiz starts doing the covers again.
That being said, this is my favorite iteration of BoP since the Chuck Dixon days.
This book is powerfully simple, with breezy dialogue and fluid, colorful artwork. Love it.
agreed
Also on board with you Maty!! I gave it a 5 and just like Red Hood and the Outlaws this title has been consistently good every single issue!!

Since gone back and purchased the first few issues of Red Hood- dig that, too, and I’m generally not into ‘hero books’.
