  1. This and then Minutemen for a close second have been the best before Watchmen books for me

  2. Amanda Conner has been putting on a master’s class in comic book illustration. Amazing stuff. Cooke’s story has been all right but get this for Connor’s work and you won’t be disappointed.

  3. Last we saw of poor Laurie, she was being drugged with a combination hallucinogen/consumeritis. Where does this story go now? Can’t wait till this comes out.

I am enjoying all the BWs except Comedian, so great to see the characters again. I even re-rented the movie! But yea, I think Darwin’s books are the best, although we need to see how strong Rorschach and Manhatten’s 2nd issues are, especially Doc’s.

  4. While the first two issues were fairly light in spirit, number three finally strikes a downbeat note and reminds us that, yes, this is the world of Watchmen after all. This isn’t to say that it’s not as gorgeous to look at or as fun to read, ‘cuz it is.

  5. the acid trip pages were amazing, but my favorite parts are the pages with the Comedian. this is certainly the best issue of the series. each comic is expeditiously surpassing the prior. really fantastic to read. the BW books were a great idea.
