  1. Getting caught up on this run right now actually. Just resubscribed to Detective too. It’s a damn fine time to be a Bat-reader, isn’t it?!

  2. Yeah, the Batman books are very good now. The only one I don’t read anymore is Batman,Inc. Morrison just doesn’t do it for me.

    • Well to appreciate Morrison you have to be loving his WHOLE run all the way back from The Black Glove I think as it makes so much connections and references. So it’s pretty hit or miss with a lot of people.

    • Yeah I have read Morrison’s Batman from the very start to present. It just has not really done anything for me. Batman is my favorite hero and I have been reading all his ongoing books ,mini-series and one-shots since the late 80’s. This is the first ongoing of Batman’s that I have walked away from. It’s just not for me.

    • Oh well, maybe Morrison isn’t your cup of tea after all (which is fine)! 😉

  3. I’m really hoping his biggest fear isnt the night of his parents death and that they give the “leaving Gordon on the rooftop mid-sentence” gag a rest…at least for one issue….please??

  4. First of all, the art in this issue was beautifully macabre. The story was well written too, and elicited some sympathy for the Scarecrow in allowing us to see his human side. But I could go a long, long time without seeing any more references to Batman’s origin. And really, not a whole lot actually happened in this issue. The Superman backup looked interesting but there was no real story there either.

  5. This…was friggin’ awesome! The way the plot unfolds resonated with me and ho-lee crap the art was stellar.

I was surprised by just how entertaining this ish was for me.

  6. This was great. Ever since Hurwitz came on this title it has been awesome.
