With Dixon getting canned last week, I’m still debating if this is going to be my last issue or if I will wait until all the books that he wrote have been released.
I can’t imagine buying this book without Dixon writing it. Now I just need to decide If I want to stay on through the R.I.P. business or not… Or just drop it when Dixon finishes – He’s still the writer through #10 right?
I don’t keep up with the news very often, so color me clueless… Dixon is leaving? Why?
I think Dixon’s last issue is #10.
@samuraigrifter — check this out — http://blog.newsarama.com/2008/06/16/chuck-dixon-i-did-not-quit/
Pretty harsh words from Mr Dixon, and it’s obvious who they are directed at!
I’m not sure if I’ll drop this when Dixon is gone, I’ll wait and see who they have lined up as the next writer. Probably Judd Winnick, they give him every other book, lol.
@ WadeWilson: Thanks for the link.
Wow… I don’t even know what to say after reading that. Oh well… Moving forward, I do hope this book continues to be good. I really wish Johns had some more time because I really like these characters and would love to see his take on them.
This was a really good issue. Chuck D kicks ass at writing superhero action — this title will miss him … and so will I.
*tear falls on keyboard*
heh
I loooved this issue! I hope this book still holds up after Dixon’s run. And I hope Ollie Queen stays on the book, too.
I went and got ALL the backissues of this primarily outta spite for DC and how they are run. Won’t pull it once Dixon’s run is over.
